Of the hundreds of different animals named in the Bible, the cat lovers among some of us might be disturbed to find that there is no mention of their beloved companion/house-guest in the Bible. That I have found, The Good Bible doesn't mention domestic cats. It does speak on Felidae such as wildcats and lions are mentioned in various contexts, but not pet cats. I feel like the cat belongs in the line of the lion, tiger and bobcats, In the Bible, felines are symbolic of the best and worst traits of humankind. They encompass the full gamut — jealousy, anger, fierceness, power, strength, majesty, and protector, all of which we see in them, and ourselves, today.
